This course emphasis the historical, geographical, political, economic, technological, socio-cultural, and intellectual shifts after the Classical and Middle Age eras up to World War I (1350 - 1914). Topics to be considered are the Renaissance, Reformation, Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment, Age of Revolutions, Industrial Revolution, Nationalism and Imperialism. We will look at this time period and these key historical patterns to help us understand the world in which we live in. Our perspective in which we will INSPECT is globalization.
